Any of you guys running 500-600hp on a 2wd truck? Looking at getting into a 6.0 and have limited it to 4x4 because I've been afraid of traction issues with that much power 2wd. just wondering how bad traction issues are out of that high of hp with only 2wd to grip.

Depends, you can only use 4x4 in a drag race. Unless you are just taking about the extra weight. IMO 4x4 has the best of both worlds with the exception of cost and weight. That being said, I want a lowered 2wd sc/sb.

There was a stockish 2wd single cab 6.0 that hit 12.9 using drag slicks, and they had tunes, watermeth and ficm tune I believe. Think it was php.

A 2wd will put the same power down better then a 4wd will in 2wd. I drive around a 600hp 2wd 6.4 with very little traction issues. It's actually a lot of fun.

Just get some traction bars and decent tires and enjoy.

Mine sucks at the track. At the 40+ mph range..... 4x4 guys are at a huge disadvantage to me.:evil:D.... Especially with big wheels and a lift....

Like Kind said, good tires and traction bars (cal-tracs) will make a world of difference in traction. You don't drive your 4x4 around all the time locked in 4 do you? You'll get use to it and learn how to drive it just like anything else.

2wd is fun and love mine but its not easy to launch at the track. but the way i see it my truck weighs 6200 lbs so it takes me less hp to go faster the only think i wish is that i had 6.4 sc/lb 2wd. but i also did pick up a set of slicks so when i go to the track

Check out the (patrickke build thread) that 04stroker has on here. It should be above that power level and it is a 2wd.
