Hypothetically, would a bone stock trans hold up with 175/30's, a Stage 1.5, and a street tune? I know there are more variables to this, but if you don't drive like a tard all the time, will it hold up?

So many variables. . . . It'll last for a decent amount of time, but prepare for a new one just incase.

I run the heck out of mine and i have 175/75's and a 68mm vgt. The stock trans is performing awesome even after 6 pulls on the dyno. I know im pushing it though

I know there are a ton of variables that can contribute to this...but was asking just as a general question. I'm considering going this route, but don't want to if a toasted trans is a guarantee shortly there after. Initially planned on 155/30's but have been talked into the 175/30's.

I have 175/30 and powermax, I run the tow file 90% of the time turning 36's and pull as much as. 30k. 156k miles on the trany and still holds the power.

Temps are still cool, no slip.

Awesome. I was wondering about towing with a 175. EGT's manageable with a good tow file? I'll never tow anywhere near that heavy...10-12 max. Usually has about 8-10 behind it a couple days a week. Rest of the time is unloaded running up and down the highway.

They are, I can load the stock PCM tune and be grossed at 35,000, got stopped on a hill, dead stop to 60 mph never went over 1400. Once it got the gear locked up it was wot. Long as hill.

With a good tow file I have to watch it a little more. The key was ported manifold powermax with billet wheel. Stock FICM tune also. Eric's FICM tune made it hot and smokey. Php FICM tune workes fine. I tune the 40 most of the time.

Also might want to look into a new fan clutch, BPD or snow plow to help with water and oil temps pulling.
