Howling noise coming from front end

Just like the title says after I had my studs, springs, cam and push rods done i have a howling noise coming from what sounds like behind the driver side end tank of the radiator, the thing is its very random and changes pitch, it does not change with engine rpm so it can't be the serp belt, almost sounds like its right near the steering box. The mechanic said it could be the pump for the fuel cooler, any suggestions?

Nope the power steering fluid is at max and I have no problems when steering or braking

My guess is your fuel cooler pump .

Is it going bad or you think it's air bound because the cab was off and it all had to be disconnected, I never heard that sound until I got my truck back from the shop

pump really shouldnt kick on unless the fuel temp is above 160 degrees i wouldnt think.

How do the brakes feel when you hit them and try to steer at the same time? I had the lines crossed on the cab for the powersteering lines, it steered, and braked, but something was off and it had an odd sound as well.

Otherwise you can just unplug that fuel cooler pump and check that as well. just follow the lines down from the cooler. It might be easer to get to it from the bottom or taking the inner fender out

The truck brakes and steers great! The sound is coming from behind the small radiator for the fuel cooler. I just never hear the pump before it was brought to the shop. I can hear it usually under 20 mph when driving with the windows closed. And I don't think the fuel temp is over 160 when it's been sitting for a few hours and the ect reads 116
