Hello all. Just had a p0088 code come up and went into limp. Everything I have read so far is HPFP. If this is the case is there anything anyone is doing to not put this style pump back in i.e putting a cp3 or something better than the design that it has now as I am hoping to do this once. Please let me know what you all are doing. Thanks

I would check the harness for the hpfp first, it could be chaffed. Also, what tuning are you running? Stock injectors? Can you monitor rail pressure and see what it is actually doing?

DD ******* 210 tow w/late lock is what was in it when it coded the first time. Then I put stock w/*** ****** and it threw the code again. Stock injectors. With DD I should be able to see what's going on just don't know what I'm looking for.

Get some rail pressure readings. I have heard that spart an is super sensitive to these issues.

Dunno about it set being tuned, but there is a pcm update for it on stock trucks. P0087 is typically related to the hpfp harness or the pumpfailing. P0088 can also set due to the frp or.uvc harness.
