Well it looking like my hpop is going out/leaking. As far as fixing it I want to upgrade it a little as well. Im looking at the elite diesel pump. What is involved with installing these pumps (work and hour wise)?

How do you know it is going out/leaking could be injector o rings, IPR, or a number of issues. How many psi at WOT? What are the symptoms?

Just had the injector orings replaced. There has been a smell if diesel inside and outside the cab. Saw a small puddle of diesel on the ground and traced to the pump lines.

I think its to the right of the turbo if im not mistaken

The HPOP ( high pressure oil pump) has nothing to do with diesel. It located literally underneath the turbo at the very rear of the engine. If your leaking diesel then it's usually at the front of the fuel filter bowl. Where the fuel pressure regulator spring is at.

Will do as soon as I get off. I read online that the diesel smell inside the truck could be cracked y pipes and they said the way to test that was to look at your boost, my boost is fine. Any other ideas?

Just look at what's already been said. The fuel bowl....the y pipe has nothing to do with diesel. That would be an exhaust smell in the cab. Not raw diesel

Park it on clean concrete/asphalt/ anything clean if you think it's leaking fuel might help narrow your search down a little and yes uppipes will be exh /spot smell.

I think i found the leak! Where the fuel spring cover plate is

Buy the fuel pressure regulator kit from ford while you have it apart. It will include everything needed to replace the spring and gasket that is currently leaking. I wouldn't mess with replacing the cover, just put the new gasket on and replace spring.
