hub won't go back in

I took my hub off because it was pretty tight to turn. Now I can't get it back in i get it lined up it goes almost all the way in but then stops was wondering if anyone had advice thanks

Hmmm

did u lube it up ?

can't think of a real problem area but if you get in a bind you can pull the otherside to compare and see if it will go on

you can also tape up the end or make a cover of some sort and still drive it if you really get stuck and need to drice

The splines need to be lined up. Manually lock the hub and when it gets to the point where it stops, turn the wheel and the axle will line up and go in.

there is a little alignment pin on the back side of the lock out that needs to go in a hole.

if you get that close, then reach behind the tire, and grab the u-joint and wiggle it, so it moves the axle shaft, and it will slide the rest of the way in.

your fighting the axle shaft not being "in line enough" to let the lock out slide the rest of the way in, or that little alignment pin not going in a hole.

New hubs are in. Jacked up the drivers side so I could turn the tire. Driver and passenger hub slid right in. Thanks guys for the info!!!!!
