hybrid turbo

i just got an obs and i hate every p[art of the turbo mounting
are the e99 and obs center sections the same???
could i bolt the obs intake and exhaust housings to the e99 center section?
im pretty sure e99 and obs pedestals are the same height, am i right??

I've been wanting to do this very thing for a while now but haven't had the time to try and find an E99 turbo and really look at it. You'll probably end up eliminating the EBPV since they hook up differently on the OBS and E99 but you'd probably do that anyway. All the 7.3 turbos, even the late model, use the same center section from what I'm told.

The center sections are different. That's why the OBS turbo is BS to remove.

The heights of both the OBS and e99 are the same. You might be able to put an OBS exhaust housing on an e99 center and use the e99 pedestal for easier removal.

I should clarify... as far as size they are all the same. The obvious difference, as you pointed out, is that the SD center section is a much better design!

What is so better about the SD? I have been able to pull my Turbo in 40 minutes. Had to pull it couple times when I did my efuel. I have thought about this swap as the 66mm wheel can be purchased for about 100 and whatever the cost for machine
