Has anyone had any luck with leather covers or replacement covers for existing seats. I can't find any out of another truck in my area.

I had Katzkin in an older truck of mine. It was awesome, and that's what I'd do again if I ended up with a truck that had cloth.

Are they covers or replacements. I just don't want them to be loose and look like a bag of a**.

Just looked them up. $2,000 and you have to have someone install them. They won't ship to your house.

You just need to find a dealer. I think there's someone on here that's a dealer. If not maybe check eBay for those or factory covers. They were like half that when I bought mine 5 years ago for a crew cab. I can't imagine they went up that much.

But they are complete replacements. You pull off the cloth and replace it with the leather.

Just find a katzkin dealer. That's what I'm doing. I'm gonna go two tone black and grey with my seats. There's a local dealer...but I'm gonna install them myself.

You can if you get the right ones. I've seen guys on here do it. Maybe you got ones from a different year truck with different shaped seats.

We just did a set of katzkins in my buddy's 6.4/ Black leather with suede inserts and silver stitching to match the truck. The rear bench is vinyl and suede with the matching stitching too to save on cost I guess. Visually looks the same. I think he said he paid about $1k for everything including heated option. Took us about 6hrs start to finish and neither of us have ever done upholstery before. Really not to hard to do, just gotta take your time and do it right. I'll find some pics quick...

I'm interested in some pics if you've got any. I have a set of black factory 08 covers that I want to put on my 04 seats but heard it's a pain in the ass. Any special tools or parts needed?

You need new hog rings and new hog ring pliers. Trust me, if we could do it, you can. Just a learning curve. drivers seat took us 3hrs+. Passenger seat took us 55 minutes... I'll upload pics in a min

Any special place to get the tool and ring?
I'd appreciate that!

Not sure. We did the seats in my buddies truck. He bought all the stuff. I just installed the seats with him. Good tip though: Buy a good set of hog ring pliers cause the cheapish ones that he got took a **** pretty quick and made it a complete PITA.

Is there any truth to it not fitting right having cloth
an going to Katskinz

The seats in his 08 that was cloth fit pretty well.

I think some of the wrinkles are from the leathers sitting in the box for 3 months before we installed them. Last time I saw the truck they seemed to have been getting better...
