I have read thread after thread and have not found the answer I'm looking for. I'm curious if anyone has ran the Icon 2.0" shocks and then upgraded to the 2.5" Piggybacks? Is there a noticeable difference in ride quality? I'm ok with paying for them if the resulting ride is improved. The truck is on the road 98% of the time with some trips down lease roads that are littered with potholes and washboards. Or is the money better spent for the 2.0"s and adding OUO traction bars? Thanks for any help

Traction bars will result in a night and day difference in the handling of the truck.

The shocks will not have the same effect as traction bars.
You are a comparing apples to oranges.

For the road 2.0 shocks and traction bars will be fine

For the lease you will be much happier with the control of the 2.5, but you will still wish you had traction bars.

I ran the 2.0's and then recently switched to the 2.5 resi's on my truck. It made enough difference that my fiancé noticed a difference in ride. It seems the harder you work them the better they do. Like taking a bumpy back road where the truck would normally be all over the road it now stays planted. I love my OUO traction bars and wouldn't do with out them though.

Thinking I'll go with the 2.5s and a block to figure out the height I want, then order the bars. Thanks for the help.

Another thanks for all the info. I ordered the following from PTP today.

Icon 4.5" Stage 3 lift
Black AF Burnout SS8 in 22x10
Toyo MT 37x13.5x22
AMP steps

Once I get it in the shop to repair some wonderful hail damage, the bumpers, emblems, and grill surround will all be PTM. Very excited about this build!

That will be a nice set up. You will probably have to trim just a little with the 13.50 tire on a 10 wide with just 4.5" of lift. Heck you may as well order some traction bars with that order whats another $1000
