ICON coil spring question

I know guys cut factory springs all the time. Out of curiosity, has anyone cut down ICON coil springs? I wasn't sure if it was possible since they're "progressive rate." I was thinking about cutting mine down some to get about a 1/2" out of the front but didn't want to mess with it if it wasn't recommended. I would have to remount my traction bars and adjust my 3-link if I did it, so I wanted to be 100% sure before I tried anything.

Thanks in advance!

You have issues bro. LOL

I don't want to go to bigger blocks in the rear. Figured this would be a simple solution that wouldn't cost me a dime. I just feel like the front end is a little too high at the moment and the springs have had plenty of miles to settle.

Hopefully. I was told they would settle a 1/2" in the first 500-1000 miles. I'm beyond that mark.

I don't think you should cut them. Do you still have the TEI spacer?

I don't want to go up with it. I want to lower the front about a 1/2" or so. If it's not a good idea, I won't fool with it and just deal with it.

I was thinking you could have a machine shop mod the spacer.

1/2" Dang I thought I had issues... LOL

Keep driving it for a while... If you are worried about it just adjust the height of your rear blocks. It is alot easier than messing with the front. Especially for only a 1/2". I would still wait a little longer to see how much it settles out.

I'm OCD and indecisive as hell and it has cost me a lot of money.

I'm sure they'll settle a little more. I hope anyway. I don't want to alter the ride of the truck. Other than the tires, the truck rides the best it ever has.

Bilstein sold 2 inch leveling springs at one point.

A member on here has them on his 06 crew long dark blue truck, black wheels. Cant remember his name.

I dont remember any comments on the ride quality either.

Just an option.
