Trying to decide what lift to go with. Ive read a lot of praise coming from the ICON lifts, but I'm just undecided on whether or not I want to spend $800+ on a 2" lift. So I guess my question is, is it really worth it or not? Is the ride really that much better than say a SKYJACKER lift and getting a better set of shocks. Reason Is I found a 2" SKYJACKER lift with coil springs, rear add a leaf, and track bar drop bracket for $500 W/O shocks. Are the shocks that come with the stage 1 Icon kit very good, and do the alignment cams that come with the icon kit do a good enough job not to require a track bar drop bracket? Because I couldnt find one from Icon? Thanks for any input, also im not only in the market for these two brands so if you have info on something else let me know about it.

Keep in mind that $400+ of that ICON kit is shocks. Shocks that are built, valved, and tested for a Superduty. The ICON kit also is about the only kit that uses a dual rate coil spring.

The alignment cams have nothing to do with the track bar. The track bar is for centering the axle under the truck (side to side), because when you lift the truck at all it pulls the axle to one side. So you need an adjustable track bar, or track bar bracket to recenter the axle. The alignment cams are for restoring your castor, which is already lacking at stock height. You need the cams no matter what kit you go with.

You shouldn't use a drop bracket or shims under the stock bracket as thats changes the angle..never drop a bracket without getting the same droped Pitman arm..all thats needed is a adj track bar.

You always get what you payfor in life.

We sell Icons and Pures kits..both have progressive coils and the required parts to do your lift correctly.

what kind of $$$ would I be looking at to get the job done right, with the ICON stage 1 kit? I was always under the impression that a trac bar drop bracket was the way to go.. Thanks for the info guys

LOL, thats the truth. Thanks

The sad part is, several of the kits come with a dropped trackbar bracket.

Yep thats what made me think it's the way to go. Ive heard of the adjustable track bar, but all I've ever seen were the drop brackets. Glad to finally get the good info. Thanks
