Injector cup removal

What is the best way to clean the injector bore after cup is removed? I have a little like surface rust on the edges,not where the cup was sitting though. Its from the motor sitting awhile with out coolant.

I would use a bore brush and and brake klean on a rag. Some guys like spraying them out but i dont like the idea of flushing anything inti my cylinder.
