Injector oil issues

Replacing uvchs and gaskets I noticed when I started it up one injector was spitting less oil then the others. By about half the ammt. Has intermittent miss that is not noticeable under heavy load/acceleration. Mainly noticed at cruise and idle. Or sitting in gear at a light. This miss was there before I changed the uvchs and gaskets. Came about when I changed injectors. Orings are new and all injectors seated fully verified by a level. Not using oil or smoking blue at startup. Crankcase oil level has not changed. And no loss of coolant. Fresh oil change with syn 5-40 valvoline and two bottles of Revx. I just bought AE that will be here in a week. Now for my question. I know I will have to get the injector repaired, Mabye, but I need to take it on a highway trip of about 1200 miles. Like in a few days. So should it be safe just putting along on the highway for this long on the lowest tune?

Thank you I will check that as well.

Talked to Matt at full force and he said to check under the armature for any debris.

Also I drove my truck to work today and for the first time I noticed that after idling for

a Few min if I rev it slightly it will puff white/blue smoke.

Will be pulling the injector and checking it over and putting it back

with new orings. There must be a bad ring between the hpo and fuel oring.

Not big enough of a leak to cause any noticeable oil consumption at all.

Even though I took ultimate care in re installing the new injs something must have

gone awry. Coated the injs and cups with fresh oil before install as well.

so I'll let everyone know what I find.

Pulled the injector and pulled the solenoid off.

No debris.

Orings looked perfect.

Put new rings on it and re installed.

Runs better but have not had any time to get the air out of the hpo system yet.

Only about 40 miles on it.

Got my AE in and it will connect to the truck then it just keeps pulling up the menu for

What type of vehicle it is. Don't know why it's not working. All the lights on the obd2 are on showing its connected.

I'll do a cct and buzz test when I get it working.

On the good side I broke the tires loose at 55 mph last night! Airing it out lol.

Still have a slight miss but it's better than it was.

Have not had time to do buzz test or cct yet.

Got about 150 miles on it now.

What's up with ford not making the 96 obs non obd2 compliant?

Called AE and that's what they told me for why the laptop is not fully connecting.

Good thing I only have to change a setting

Well finally got the AE working.

Thank god, I have a intermittent CPS.

And a bad coolant temp sensor.

At cold startup the coolant sensor was reading 219.20 and the oil temp was 80.60.

The coolant temp went to its max of 302.00 within 5 min while oil went to 112.80.

For whatever reason the cel does not turn on for a intermittent cps fault.

Good thing I have a spare black cps in the glove box.

This one is only 1yr old with 8k miles on it. So stupid.

Duty cycle of ipr was 13.67 on cold start and hpop was hovering around 640.

Also passed cct, buzz tests and all other koer and koeo tests.

At least it's something easy lol.

In other news the hpop filter/spacer and twin stealths are going on first thing Monday!

Hopefully I'll have time to get the CPS and coolant temp sensor on tonight.

I'm still wondering why the cel won't come on for intermittent CPS faults.

My scan gauge does that too. Cold start the coolant temp is high. 200 and goes to 235. My autometer guage gets to about 180 the scan gauge displays 180 and acts normal from then on up.

My tires must grip like mad. I plant it at 55 and it just goes....

I totally forgot about this. I have read about the difference in scan tools before.

Think it was a few years ago on nation. But mine is deff bad.

As for the traction, it must be nice to have trac bars with better sd springs lol.

I'm on nittos as well but not as big as those hosses.

Will be doing those things and much more when done with the motor.

The list is getting shorter, but still a mile long...
