Injector spray angle

none of the holes share the same angle (as the injector sits ~ 11deg off perpendicular, nor is the injector in the center of the cylinder bore).

I wonder what the maximum of timing BTDC given a factory piston bowl dimension before you begin the SOI and it "sprays" out side the bowl on the piston? Hmmmm. ..man if a guy could figure that out

My brother has software that can model this. If only I could find/create a cad drawing of the motor or just one cylinder.

My bet is that has already been figured out. First of course by Ford tech but after that I have a hard time believing with all the $$$ has been spent someone has not already done this. Hell, while maybe not to the exact Nth degree, I would think you could establish this with hard parts and then firing a injector, otherwise certainly with software. I would be welling to wager the likes of Golfer and HotRodTractor know those figures

Didn know it sits off, interesting. But what about the nozzles themselves?
I know about where matts soi btdc timing can be to hit a stock bowl is but who knows how that goes with diff tuners. I dont have anywhere near stock bowls or pistons for that matter.

At what injection pressure and RPM? That's where it gets fun. :poke:
