So im gettin ready to replace a few things on my truck and i figured i would add a oil seperator on my ccv tube and i figure it wouldn't hurt to have my intercooler flushed and pressure tested while i was at it. Has anyone done this before. Reason i ask is because i have heard stories of guys pouring out quarts of oil from their innercooler when swapping them out.

Thanks.

I have flushed mine before. Degreaser and some very hot water worked.

My CAC had a few oz's of oil at 308k miles - after having a hole in a piston... I'm sure there are other issues that could lead to more oil in there, but I think the whole CCV mod thing is over-rated. It might make more sense at really high boost levels where keeping boots on becomes more difficult, but I have no problem keeping my aftermarket boots on at 30psi and as long as they aren't LEAKING BOOST, I don't see any oil on the outside.

PVC cap(s), a schrader valve, soapy water and 10psi of compressed air... :toast:
