To start;
I have gearhead SRL tunes, 6.4 banjos, Coolant filter,Intake and 4"-5exhaust. No plans to change to SRL studded tunes for 10-15 hp.

In the up coming weeks I will be getting my cab lifted for studs, egr delete,
new oil cooler (even tough deltas are within 10 deg), new inj orings, stc/dummy plugs and new HPOP filter.

Plans are keeping stock sticks, Swapping to a 03 turbo with batmo wheel,
Atlas 40 FICM tune from PHP and a ported manifold. All to be done within
about 6-7 months. No hurry. Not looking for massive power, just a efficient
truck that can still tow a 5er occasionally, and be fun as hell... Shoot it is already. What do you think?

Heres a pic>

Why are the wanting the '03 turbo? Is it for the sound from a 10 vane? Have you looked into other turbo's? I would recommend looking at MTW's Stage 1 turbo. They're priced great and would be better performance wise than switching to a '03.

I would talk to matt and check with him to make sure the tune u are running will work well with the ficm tune, he might wana change the tune around for u to make it work better,

I X2 the 03 turbo I would also swap it for a powermax, or MTW if your staying vgt

I have read that the '03 flowed slightly more.
And would be cheap to swap.
Not for the sound. Mine is already loud.
I do want to stay VGT without a doubt.
I want a real clean running truck even at tip in.
Now what would the manifold net me with the above mods?

Yes I spoke with Gearhead- Lars, And he said a small Econ tune would be fine.
PHP said the 40 would be good.
Im not sure but it sounds like either will work just fine.
Spoke with them both last week.
So not sure what I will end up doing for that just yet.

Just looked at MTW wow those are inexpensive!

Yeah, Adrian's turbo's are VERY competitively priced which is why I recommended the Stage 1. I would put an Atlas 40 FICM tune from Bill @ PHP to go with it. It'll be pretty much the same setup I had with my stock sticks and it was a blast to drive. It was a very clean running DD truck that you could hook up a trailer and not think twice.

That's exactly what I'm looking for.
So what will adding the manifold net me in this setup?
Lower egts? Small power increase?

Hard to beat the MTW stage 1 at that price. If you are set on the 03, I would recommend that you stay away from the batmowheel, the gains, if any, aren't worth the cost. A different billet wheel, like the wicked wheel or similar would be a better investment.

I was thinking the '03 turbo would be cheapest.
That's why I was entertaining the thought of the '03 turbo.
But now that I have been made aware of better options that's out the window.
What vendors are suppliers of the ported manifolds?
I have heard gogo but who else?

As said above, lower EGT's and a little more power down low. As far as people selling the ported manifolds, I know Doug @ GO-GO and Absolute Performance makes one called the Apex Manifold. I've heard good things from both.
