A buddy of mine has a 6.0 and is wanting some gauges. He is wanting the Insight CTS, but another friend of ours has a Banks IQ w/ Six gun for an LMM. He will sell the banks IQ for 200 bucks or 300 for everything, he was wanting to get just the monitor for 200. Will it work without the six gun? Is the CTS worth the extra $200? Thanks alot

I just got a cts, for free. Its pretty damn cool. I dont know if Id plunk down what the retail is for one of them.

The cts can make several gauges obsolete. And YES ive checked the accuracy of the cts monitor outputs to the real analog gauges and they are spot on. So the cts is either right on or they are both identically wrong!! The cts can replace twenty to thirty gauges but only to the tune of eight at a time.

Ive never been impressed with anything that banks sold to me. I managed to keep a "SS Monster exhaust" of theirs for two years. I think I paid a grand for that turd. Id ask to try that banks monitoring system before I bought it. But for $200 it'd be fine, at least for now. The six gun? Id pass on that shti.

Yeah hes not worried about the 6 gun, its for an LMM anyways and he runs IDP, gearhead and TSD so he has the tunes covered

I cannot speak for the IQ since I have never used it, but I haven't heard a bad review about it. The insight cts is a very nice monitor with plenty of convenience features. Edge EAS is nice and easy to use. Multiple parameter display and inputs. Speedometer calibration and easy pid read-out, and my style customization. I like the cts and I think it is well worth the money. If we can help you or your buddy out let us know, we will be glad to help!

lovvve the Insight CTS

picked up a couple more clean 7.3's last year and was soooo over stuffing gauges all over the interior...so I had the guys install the Insight CTS instead...

I'll never have traditional gauges in a street truck again...

Did you bounce the values the cts ouputs against the old gauges? Im just wondering as Ive found them to be about the exact same, everytime.

I just wish you could correct speedometers with the cts insight. I like the performance of the cts as a monitoring system. I was lucky enough to win mine so the price is even better to me.

No way to compare them on my current trucks, since I didn't nor would install conventional gauges...but seeing that the cts is reporting the same values (to the PCM) to be used for engine management...it's good enough for me.

The option of adding a near infinite number of pressure and temp sensors (to also display on the cts monitor), backup camera, etc... made it that much more attractive.

I was about to buy one of those stand alone kits that come with a replacement rearview mirror to get the backup camera setup. I have 2 year old twins and a 6 year old. Backing up a cc/sb superduty with a 6" lift and 37's when kids are playing outside can be a white knuckle event. I make em stand on the steps to the house so I can see them. I cant wait to get the parts to make my cts a rearview monitor.

I just put new gauges in my truck so Ill be keeping mine but the cts is getting more favored everyday.
