installing sump

So I have all my parts and in starting the install
Is there any reason I can space the tank skid plate down to clear the sump and protect it.I was going to space it dow. About 3/4".I figure it's better than nothing at all

I spaced mine down so the skid plate could stay. Used short pieces of pipe. Welded to skid plate feet. I think I went 1 1/2", but I used Irate's sump, which is pretty beefy.

i cut out a square directly below the sump in my skid plate.....flipped it over and re-welded it in there....only had to use 2 washers to shim it after that.....there are ridges in the skid plate that help you make more room when you cut out a section and flip it.....

I've got a left over piece of inconel running that I may use to run the hose through to the frame
That should stop any worry of snagging the line off road

I spaced mine to the dumpster.
Ran my line from the sump straight back towards the axle, then does a 180.
But I also have my twin sd pump placed in a unusual place too.
