Intake manifold/ egr cooler

Anyone used this one? They said it seals with an o ring. Says it's better than welded... any takers? Any experience? Getting ready to do the studs was gonna throw this in with them.... Also any way lot to completely remove the egr cooler using off road y pipe?

Welded tops are 10x better than a gasket lid. Not to mention.... I'd look into buying a ported manifold from someone well known in building them. I wouldn't waste my money on this manifold. I can see problems with having boost leaks....nothing but headaches.

Neither....go with Absolute Performance's apex manifold.

Oliver makes a GREAT ported manifold. He cuts his open, guts it and welds it back together. Like this:

Good luck finding pics of the inside of the Apex manifold. Better yet, good luck getting him to explain what he does to it. Oliver's manifold, well you can see from the pics what he does. The EGR delete is an option, if you wanted to keep it you can. Pm and I can get you his info.

on edit: i'm pretty sure the prices are the best on the market for a gutted manifold.

Fwiw....both manifolds listed are good units...regardless of who sells what etc.

It comes down to preference imo

The rules are what we say they are, and telling people on the open forum to contact you for info on a non-site sponsor isn't going to fly. The posted rules are guidelines. We can't foresee every single situation and we make decisions as needed. If you're offended by that or think it's unfair and we're just being "the man, tryin' to keep a brother down", then just leave. Pretty simple really.

Just do a search on the page here, this topic has been beat to death over and over again, and the answers are always the same. There are several viable options for you out there. I will agree, try and stick with someone who has a name of some sort. I would NOT be buying one on ebay though.
