I discovered I have a boost leak and I've tracked down the leaks. One is the boot going from the plenums to the intake spyder. I was looking at siliconintakes.com and was going to just buy a 1ft of what size I need. If I'm not mistaking aren't all the boots on the spyder the same size? Does anyone know what size they are? My other leak is on my drivers side plenum. Some I'm going to be pulling at all out and apart to redo and clean up the top side a little. I also have some other things like bellowed uppipes I've been waiting to install. Thanks for any help

Plenums to the spider are 3" on late 7.3's. More than likely they are all 3" I know the intercooler tubing is 3" but you can have different sizing at the intercooler. So you need to measure the intercooler itself to insure that you don't have 3.25" flanges. You can get a kit from Clay or others I am sure for around 100 bucks.

yes they are all 3" on the spider..get the 2' tube that way you can make the boots on the plenums a little longer then stock so 2 clamps can be used if needed.. make damn sure all connections are clean and free of oil when you put the boots on..use hair spray to help hold them onto the plenums and the IC pipes...it would also be a good idea to do the CCV mod if you have not done it yet..

Doe the dieselsite boots have a grove for the intercooler? That's the only part I'm worried about on doing the top 2, but if I double clamp them I see no problem with them. I was actually thinking of a way to use a degas bottle off one of the race cars I've worked on. Any other recoomandations or thoughtss I haven't though of while I gotmost of it out

I have had no issues with Dieselsites boots. Single clamped (with hairspray on the install of course). I will hit 50 lbs of boost and have never even thought of blowing a boot off. It would not surprise me if you could remove the clamps and still not blow a boot.

Yeah I've learned in the past you don't use screwdrivers to remove rubber boots or v bands. I've screwed a few up trying to get them off.
