Ok, I got an 08 crewcab fx4. I have LED lights in the dome light and while driving home from work last night at midnight I noticed they are staying on very dimly. In the day you can't really tell because it is not dark enough. When the truck is shut off, they still stay on very faintly. After a while parked they do go out. Courtesy lights in 3rd brake light (stock) don't stay on, or there is not enough current to light a regular bulb. Anyone come across this before?

My LED lights in the inside to the same thing. Also at work i use 2 way radios and i noticed once night when working i was in my truck used the radio when i push the talk button it would make my LED lights in the interior come on not bright but enough that it was noticeable. LOL i am not sure what that is about??

That's strange for sure. One of these days I'll measure the voltage going to then to see what it is.

I too have LED lights in my maps lights and they are dim too. I think had has to do with the fact they turn on with the doors. In my brothers car he has led lights and the option to have them stay off, turn on when door is open, or stay on and if you have it in the stay off position they will not be on at all but if you put it on the "on when door is open" they will be dim all the time. That's my two cents

Residual voltage is what it is.. LED's hold a small amount of voltage unlike regular bulbs.. It won't do any harm but to cure it you need to add a resistor.. 1/4 watt, 470 Ohm..
