Don't confuse Loctite 545 THREAD SEALANT with the loctite thread locker you are used to seeing. THE ONLY similarity is the color. The answer to your question is NO, the 545 does not make the fittings any more difficult to remove than any other type of THREAD SEALANT. I have used this product on my fuel system's NPT fittings since 2006. Many parts were R&R'd when I rebuilt the engine after 120k miles since modifying fuel system - no issues with being tough to remove. I even had some brass (OMG!!!) fittings in the head, which are famous for failing and leaving parts in the head to be removed the hard way... Seriously, this is the best product available for this application! No question about it. :toast: I also use Gasoila thread sealant, but typically only on larger fittings (1/2" up). This product is much more viscous (and therefore more effective) than any of the watery rector seal crap at the hardware/autoparts store.
