The filler neck is in a different spot. Its in a different spot for the straps. If you un strap one and try to strap in the other it won't line up. Even the short bed tank I used ran from the axle all the way to the transmission crossmember. So did the long bed tank, but the filler was under the cab so I had to go with the short bed tank to move the filler back. With either a lwb or a swb they use two crossmembers under the bed for the straps. Since they both use the same mounting points but the distance from end of tank to filler door changes they changed the filler location on the tank. Long bed tank. This is where I found it wider. I couldn't get my hand between the tank and the rail when I was putting on new hangers.
