Ive been looking at getting into a 6.4 pretty soon, just waiting on a few things to clear up and I'll be heading out to find me a truck. I've been looking at 08 trucks primarily bc it seems like the resale value is quite a bit less than an 09 with 50-60k miles. My question is what is the big difference in a job 1 and a job 2 truck. If its minimal differences I'm not too concerned, but I'm figuring on the normal array of bolt obs and deletes for 6.4s and I don't want to tear up a truck I just bought. Any info be helpful fellers, thanks.

My brothers mentioned the tcm issues but that's the first ive heard of radiator issues. What can be done about the tcm should it decide to go nutty or fail completely and what kind of radiator issues should I look for?

The tcm being an issue is a thing of the past really....

Radiators most should be updated by now and even if they are dont be surpised if you have issues at some point.

What seems to be the big issue with the radiators? I read thru the thread on psn, but didn't really see much on it. Just kinda wondering so I know what to look for. Thanks for all the input

The tanks leak sometimes where they are crimped to the core.for whatever reason no one is safe from one that leaks meaning no job number no builds date or part number...they are fairly reliable but you still hear of issues once and awhile

Ok, that's what I was wondering. I was unsure if it was the tanks or the cores that were the culprit. I'm trying really hard to come in under 60k miles so it shouldn't be an issue but nonetheless I wanna be able to know what to look for.

Where is a good source for an Oasis report? I'm looking at 6.4's as well.

I got one for my 6.0 when I had it, but I dont know if that guy can still help me out.
