Junk d66

So dad got a d66 for his truck. He worked ad a mechanic for caterpillar for 25 years and I am fairly certain he did everything right. He pre lubed before install. After install only 25 psi max.160 miles after install its shelled on side of the road 1/8 th inch of play in and out up and down. Thoughts?

could be so many things, it has to be pulled and inspected, I'm sure if it's a manufacturer issue, and it's new, I'd bet Beans will take care of it.

So nice of your to get right on a forum and say JUNK D66 before calling for your warranty.

Very rarely have any failures but anything can happen its a mechanical part. Give us a call and we will get you taken care of.

Been trying to call and email with no response. My intent was not to call the turbo junk but to say that it scrapped out on him. Nit the best title. My apologies.

When me and my buddies are talking junk means not working. Junk a tranny doesn't mean it is junk. its habbit. Like I said not the best wording.

For the record, my d66 has held up to 238/100's for over 40,000 miles. Most of them with no intercooler. This turbo has exceeded my expectations.

The title, worded wrong or not, was a bash/stab at the D66 & Bean's reputation. Bean is callin him on it since he posted this before talking to BDP. I'd have done the same thing as Bean in this situation, I think he handled it better than some other shops would have.

Actually had tried calling and e mailing for two days before this. I was a little pissed. Wouldn't you be??
