Key fob question

This may sound dumb but in wondering what everyone is getting for max range on their stock key fob, mine seems to only work up to about 20 ft away and sometime it will work once I'm about to the door of the truck. Could the battery be going bad, or what's the deal. It kinda gets annoying when I forgot if I locked the truck and I gotta walk back to check

My 13 does that sometimes. One day i cant even lock the doors standing 5 feet away from it. Then the next day i can remote start it from half a block away, the panic works from my pocket to the other side of town it seems lol.

Mine will not work when I'm more than 20ft away. I don't get it. Might switch the matters out
