Couple quick questions:

1) Are the leather seats from a Lariat the same as the King Ranch, except for being grey? If any differences, what are they?

2) Currently running a 4" MBRP dual system, buddy is selling a muffler delete for a 4" dual system, will there be any noticeable sound difference on a 7.3?

Thanks guys

Lariat seats will resist liquids for a few minutes while you get something to wipe it up, KR leather will not.

The King Ranch leather is of MUCH higher quality than the lariat leather.
If you can, go somewhere and see/feel both, and you will immediately be able to see the difference.

It doesnt have to match exactly Jer. If your interior is tan and the seats are the rusty brown its still a good look. I wanna get KR seats in either the older tan style or the newer brown saddle leather.

Lariat leather, its an oxymoron for sure. There isnt any fuggin leather in a lariat seat. Its vinyl Im sure. The panel you actually sit on is gnawgahyde. Which isnt leather in my book. Its meant to wear well and remain of similar look even after much use. The KR interior changes and evolves as the seats take on wear. Its quality compared to the lariat.

no, the seats only come in brown/red or some shade of it.

The new 2011 MY does have an option for black interior paneling and carpet but the seats are still a shade of brown/red

No I ment like replace 05 seats with newer style or just the leather itself. I already have 05 KR but my seats are horrid from the day I brought it home.

Heck, you can put 11 seats in an e99. ANY KR seats will go right in to your truck. You can even replace center seat sections with consoles. ITs all fairly interchangeable. I think even the 11 consoles would fit right into 1st and 2nd gen superduties.

Anyone have any idea how much more interior noise will be gained with a muffler delete on a MBRP system?

4 or 5"? If you retain a tailpipe that exits behind the rear tires you should be ok. The sound will be louder but it is aimed out the back and away from the truck. I had one that dumped out under the cab and it was STUPID loud but with a tailpipe it should be good except for one you have the windows down. Then it'll be louder than hell!:D

Don't meant to hijack this thread, but do you have a video or sound clip of the turndown exhaust? Sorry op.

Deleting the mufflers on your 7.3 will make it noticeably louder, especially while accelerating. It won't be nearly as loud as a gasser with no mufflers, but you will notice a significant difference in the cab.

Got the muffler delete pipe on, sadly my trans had to be dropped suddenly for bearing replacement, but it should be ready in the next few days. Fired it up in the shop quickly after the install and yep, it`s got a lot more whistle! Hope it`s not too much louder inside. Will find out soon enough . . .
