I am about to put a 2" leveling kit Block and shackle from Supreme Suspension. My question is if I get a shock that says front lift w/0.05"-3" lift should I still install the shackle or is the shackle not needed. In my mind if I install the shackle. I will keep the shock stroke length to its max but at the same time I it would compress the shock on the install more with the shackle shortening the distance of install. Let me know your opinion and what you think I am by no means a mechanic but I am a weekend project type of guy that can figure it out. I am looking at the Skyjacker shocks if that helps anything

Are you talking about the rear shackle?

Because there shouldn't be a front shackle? Its only a coil spring.

This set up goes block under the coil then there's a shackle for front shocks. The shock and coil are seperate on my F250.

Maybe its some kind of shock extender/bracket, idk
Maybe that is if you keep you current shock. If you get a shock for a leveling kit, just use the new shock

Ok so since I am changing out the shocks and getting a longer shock with more stroke then I currently have that covers a 2in lift/leveling I should be good to just leave that shackle off and just install my block. Thanks for the help.
