Just bought an 01 f250 for my daily driver , weekend offroading and towing only up to about 5k. I want a good lift or level kit that gets me between 2.5-4 inches with a smooth ride that can take some weekend abuse.... Also for a decent price. I don't know a damn thing about lifts, some come with shocks, some with springs, some with leafs etc.... Some help finding what I need would be appreciated. I'm only going with 35's to get a bit more grd clearance without loosing too much mpg and getting too high for my taste. Ride quality is important as well as durability. Thx for the help

For ride quality, Icon is a must. Skyjacker, rough country, procomp...etc all ride like ****. Trouble is you don't know any better until you ride in a truck with a quality suspension system. Like Icon or Carli. However they don't come cheap. But you get what you pay for. Also I don't believe anything from Carli is available for a 7.3.

Is it icons shocks and springs that are better quality? They seem to have a 200% markup on just blocks compared to everyone else.... What about another companies kit with their shocks??

Also what's my next best bet for good ride but not dropping 4 grand for a 2.5 in leveling kit lol... Is their stage 5 kit that amazing?

My ride quality went south QUICK when I put on nitrogen charged shocks. Oof'da those are stiff. However, off road, they aren't spongy like the stocker oil shocks were. Personally, it's a truck and it should ride like one, I really like my 6" Pro Comp springs front AND rear. Blocks are for building houses.
