long crank still

so i went to move my truck tonight so i can pull my tractor in and grease and do all that fun stuff, i jumped in and clicked on and wasnt paying attention and got a call so then i just started it so i can get better reception out of shop and it took a good amount of time and i had this problem before but it was due to gpr and glow plugs. now seems to be back.? any comments or tiings to test batt volt 13 not running and 14.5 running. thank you

how long you leavin gps on, and whats the temp. how many seconds of cranking

First how cold was it? Maybe your injectors are getting old and worn. Let it get cold again over night and see if it does the same thing. Test your GP relay with that mutlimeter If its all good and you still have the issue then try plugging it in. That works it very well maybe your injectors

Probably 65 right now and crank is about 5 seconds roughly.

no smoke. but it was damn near empty on fuel would that make it crank long?

below a quarter tank is empty in my book... if you have any pickup tube issues then it could be losing prime.

i think thats what it was because it seemed fine once i filled it up 25.5 gallons. i will see this afternoon when i need to use it.

Do yourself a favor and Google Hutch and Harpoon mods. Your truck needs them.

Until you can do the Hutch and Harpoon, keep it over 1/4 tank.
