I just completed a complete rebuild of my 01 7.3 Powerstroke and I'm experiencing longer than normal crank times every time I start it. Cold or hot doesn't make a difference. Only time it is better is if I immediately try to start it right after shutting it off. The HPOP reservoir stays full to within an inch of the top. While cranking the oil pressure gauge in the truck doesn't move for about 5 sec. then suddenly the motor fires up and at the same time the pressure gauge jumps up to register excellent pressure. The motor sounds great doesn't stumble and idles smooth, power seems to be good too. I used the Ford rebuild kit so everything including the LPOP is new. During the rebuild I also installed a regulated return system, hutch mod., oil crossover line, banjo bolt kit, stage 1 injectors, PHP tunes, and rebuilt the IPR. About a year ago I had installed the kit from DieselOrings.com to the HPOP. Before pulling the motor it was starting just fine. Any ideas?
