I found a 2010 F450 at a local dealer. It has 4650 miles on it, the DPF is deleted and it has a SCT. I am going to get an Oasis report and I am assuming that the truck will be sold as is with no warranty from Ford. What things should I be looking for and possible negotiating in the deal since I won't have a warranty on a fairly new truck?

check for dried coolant around the degas cap as well as sprayed on the firewall above the turbos.
open the oil fill cap with the engine running and see how much pressure and smoke there is.
check the trans fluid level and smell it to see if its burnt.

an oasis report is a good thing as well as do you have the opportunity to throw a scanner on it?

mileage sounds pretty good if its accurate.

And it should have 5/100k mile power train.

I wouldn't take "it's got no warranty because its tuned/deleted" especially from a Ford dealer.

If its had the warranty flagged in OASIS, I'd likely walk away, personally.
