looking for 7.3 for 2000 f550

hello all I just got a 2000 f550 7.3 with 500k on it looking to buy another or a rebuilt motor to drop in the motor in it now smokes bad not sure why I just need to get truck up and running for farm work I am from oxford pa area if any one has one or info the best place to buy a recon pls let me asap thank you bob

Not trying to be an ass, but you'd have to be a nut job to buy a crate 7.3 engine or a reman for that matter.

Op PM me if you'd like a price on a good used 7.3 ready to drop in.

No offense taken.........I don't understand why you'd have to be a "nut job" to get a brand new motor?

Trust me....I'm no mechanic, by any means of the term.....but it seems like to me when you buy a used motor, you don't REALLY know what you're getting right?

Crate engine, while it would be ridiculously overpriced I'm sure, IS a brand new engine (with a warranty). Reman, well, probably has a warranty also.

(both of those warranties will be voided once you delete stuff though....I do understand that part)

Crate engine is reman as well. I would buy a 300k used engine with good compression in a second if I were to need one. And I have in the past. Put it in with 368k and still going with probably 440k on it.
