Looking for some suggestions

Symptoms- my truck has a bit of a rough idle when its cold, its more noticeable if I increase the idle speed. This morning it sounded like it was knocking a little though, and I could even hear it while I was driving (it went away once the coolant temp came up to normal). It white smokes pretty good while its warming up in the AM, but that's nothing too unusual for a PSD from my experience. I can't be 100% sure but I think I saw a small puff of white smoke when leaving from a stop sign once or twice this morning. It runs fine when its warmed up, power seems to be fine. Its not burning any coolant.
I'm thinking about popping the passenger side valve cover off since the noise seems to be coming from that side and giving everything a once over, any other suggestions on things to check?

sounds absolutely normal. mine knocks like crazy when its cold and warming up while driving. try letting it idle till its completely warm and then drive it and see, the timing is changed with eot, so the colder it is the more timing you get, do you have it tuned?

My truck was doing the same thing until I started running the oil additive I got from GRacing. Not sure if yours is the same problem, but just a thought.

Listening to the motor, it doesn't sound like either of the other two PSD's I've owned. They are all different though.
