supposedly no rust and no paint peel. whats it worth?

Just because of the mileage, I'd say 5k ish... it does look pretty clean, but lets face it, that motor probably doesn't have 100k left in it.

If the body is clean as it looks 4-5K. There is no way to judge if the motor has 100K left or 500K left.

I know of and have seen dozens upon dozens upon dozens....of 7.3s in excess of 500kmi. Obviously previous maintenance is a big key, but have seen flat out abused motors run 400k.

I have also had to replace 90Kmi engines.

The auto trans will more then likely be the first place you will have trouble. JMO.

how much would it cost to put a fresh motor in one of these? or how much to rebuild one? not counting injectors/hpop/turbo. seeing as they will be changed anyways.

i see used ones going for pretty cheap. would definitely have to have forged rods. but under 1000 sound right?

If it truely a rust free truck prolly 4-5 range. Any rust would bring the price down. 1000 sounds right for a good compression running forged rod engine

That truck was local to us here. One of my buddy's called about it Saturday before last and guy said he had just sold it. Unless the new owner is selling it in less than a week. Aside from the mileage it is a very clean truck, just needs the top dash pad replaced.
