lope/bad injector rattle when cold

I noticed a few weeks ago, my truck will lightly shake/lope at idol in drive. With light acceleration, injector rattle is worse than any other 6.4 I've herd. As soon as it warms up the lope/rattle goes away. There's no sign of smoke, not gaining oil, compression is great, RP is around 4.8k, no codes.

I'm thinking maybe an injector is on it's way out?

Thoughts?

Finally got a code for #8 cylinder.
Gonna throw and injector at it and see what happens.

yeah thats what i would do, an unbalanced injector will do that because it makes the other injectors try and compensate for the failing one, more times than not the truck usually smokes more but not all the time.

Whos your tuner? I would bump that idle rail pressure up a bit

I have Gearhead on it now. I def notice a light haze at idol, but it never bothered me much.
What do you think I should have Matt bump it to?

My truck was like this. Had a bad/rough exhaust note and the injector rattle was crazy loud. Turns out I got a cylinder 2 misfire code and a cylinder 2 contribution/balancer code.

Got the injectors and replaced #2, runs perfect now. Btw, #8 cylinder is driver side, very rear of engine. And the injector hardline kit is a 1 time use. Its ~$15 at sunrise ford.

I just did mine last night, no cab lift. You'll have fun if its your first time like mine.

5500-6000 is where i would start

Like stated get the line kit and an injector, although i think the last injector i got from ford had the line... but i might be wrong.

That's good to know. I got a slightly used injector and grabbed a line kit from sunrise.

Put a new injector in it last night, mis/lope is compleatly fixed!
In fact I think its runs the smoothest it ever has.
