Hey guys this ain't my truck, its a buddys work truck. It is a bone stock 95 or 96 f350 7.3 2wd 5 speed with a dump bed. He said he made a delivery of mulch and was coming back to work and it started white smoking and had to drop to second gear to get it to go and is vibrating badly. He said he changed fuel filter and can position sensor. Its a work truck that runs his business and his mechanic is down in his back. Any suggestion?

is it making any thumping noises? could be a bent pushrod... like said get codes pulled... definitely sounds like a dead hole! check all electrical connections on the motor.. while its running, wiggle everything. even under the valve covers. check the injectors and see if they are all squirting out oil.
where did the cps come from... that could be bad too.

I'm not sure. Its my dads buddy and my dad called me to see if I knew anything about it. I said white smoke could be from oil cooler or anything like that. I'm not there to look at it. These engines have so many damn sensors its not funny. I'll see if I can't find more info out in a bit.
