So my 2001 is low on power. Very low. Not sure what the deal is. Right now Im not feeling safe getting on the freeway as it takes a while to get up to cruising speed. I think its a fuel issue so that is what I will be checking out first, I just wanted to see if anyone else has any ideas? Reason I say I think its fuel, is there are no other symptoms besides it being low on power. The EGT's are low and boost is normal. All guages look normal. I questioned if it was the pedal, but when its floored it will hold the gear till 3k rpms and shift if I let off like normal. The trans isnt running hot either. I am lost. Im going to check the fuel filter first, maybe its getting clogged? If I dont find anything with that, im going to swap out the fuel pump. After that I am really at a loss. Any help and other idea's are appreciated.

Oh, and I should add there is no SES light on. Also, truck runs smooth and sounds normal, no miss or vibrations or anything. Idle is good too. And normally on my hottest tune it will get some smoke, right now absolutely none which is also leading me to think its a fuel issue...

Hook a fuel pressure gauge up to your fuel bowl and tie it to your antenna, then you can watch it while your driving and figure out whether that's the problem or not. There's a little allen plug on the back of the fuel bowl that is a #4 ORB, get a #4ORB to 1/8" npt fitting, and an engine oil pressure test kit from harbor freight (fuel pressure gauge) for $25 and bam you've got a temporary fuel pressure gauge.

Probably seems obvious but check the line to the map sensor, didn't knock it off maybe, or its split. It will act very similar to what you describe.
Good luck finding your gremlin.
