This one has me stumped. I have the range selector plugged in and in N. The truck starts and runs fine. I wanted to swap the harness's but went the cheap route to try and save the guy some money.

Here is what gets me. The truck thinks its in N b/c it starts. So with my foot on the brake and truck in N it SHOULD go into low range. I cant think of anything else it is looking for to make it work.

I wished I could be more help. LOL I'm not really familiar with the built in safety parameters in the ESOF wiring. Hope you can figure it out!

Was that after a 6sp swap? The electronic part should still kick in for low range even losing vacuum.

Im kindof suprised nobody has figured out what wires need jumped to keep a esof and have low range.

Doesnt matter on this particular truck as of now. It got a manual t-case yesterday.

No mine came with a 6sp,Do you have 2 connectors on the transfer case,if so take the one with 2 wires and check for power one should have power in 4hi (when you first switch to 4wd the other is 4lo.it applies power to the shift motor when when changing ranges.
I'm just looking at the wiring diagram, never tried it myself

I changed the PCM, engine harness all the way to the fuse boxes etc. Had reverse lights, clutch switch all the goodies working and never got it to go into low range.

I have a 99 6 speed with esof and it does go into low range but it is a beech. It usually takes awhile for it to go. I haven't figured out the secret if you need to have the clutch in or out and should I try to roll the truck a little. Patience is a virtue if you really need low range.
