Lower Radiator Hose Leak

It appears my lower radiator hose has a minor leak near the snap ring at the pump (coolant leaking along and down the hose). I have heard the 6.4's are notorious for this, and is this something I should address immediately or will it get much worse suddenly when I'm in the middle of nowhere? Also does anyone know where I can get the double O ring hoses and are they recommended?

You should be fine. it probably won't get much worse. I found mine on ebay for 80 bucks. Any dealer will have the updated ones too.

Yea you will be fine. Mine leaked for months before I had the time to fix it. I got the gates hoses from rockauto for much cheaper then oem hoses. They look identical and have the updated ends with 2 orings. I suggest you replace the top while your at it, it's only a matter of time before that one leaks too.

Great thank you! I was hoping I would have a little time to replace it but won't wait too long. Might as well replace both with the double O rings while I am at it good call.

I recently got a Napa (Gates brand) engine side lower radiator hose. It had the updated double o-ring as well. I think as long as it has the white fittings it will have 2 O-rings.

Been busy still haven't fixed it but still leaking. Not a big leak and the coolant level is fine so I am not too worried about it. Thanks for the info.
