I have a 2006 with 155/30% injectors a powermax full 4" and a S&B air intake. I pull a 40' 5th wheel that is around 16-18k and my egts are around 1200+ if i hit a hill i have a hard time keeping temps down, i see a max of 25psi and water and oil temps climb fast to, got a new oil cooler a week ago, i was seeing 220 water, 235 oil, 1300 egts, and 15psi, it was a 6% grade and i was running 30 mph. The turbo is slow to spool, is there really a way to lower all my temps and get the turbo to light faster. I dont want to wast a lot of money and be in the same boat. if it cant be down then i can spend it on a new truck. Running 70 mph i can hit 1400+ in scounds. I dont want to be spraying watermeth. I live at 4500' and camp at 8000' so the air is thin.
Thanks for any help you can give.

Have you thought about running an aftermarket intercooler, I live at 4500' too my EGT's can hit 1250 pretty quick empty. I'm also curious about this too, I have stock sticks and a powermax.

Dang man I don't have a no other ideas except water meth, I know you said you didn't want to do it, but you could try to get it set up to where it only spray's when you go heavy on the pedal or are climbing

Let me know, I was thinking of running water meth, but if they can tune it out might do that

Have you did the ported intake manifold as well??

I see in your sig that your Pmax is about to be a MAD turbo, which one are you looking for it to be?? I think if you did send your Pmax to Adrian and had him put a 13 blade turbine wheel in and replace the current compressor wheel with a batmowheel, I bet you'll be surprised at how well everything will spool and flow. He also does some special things to tighten the tolerances so it will flow just a little more air as well.

Your symptoms sound similar to mine, but more extreme since you have injectors. My boost only hits low 20s in the lower gears without TC lockup and egt's can hit 1500 in one gear (usually 2nd or 3rd) if I go WOT. If I cruise in 5th with TC locked and roll into it til I'm WOT I notice boost hits 30 and egt's barely hit 1200 even running up to 100 mph. In no way do I mean to discredit the tuners, but maybe try another tuner. I'm sure your current tuner(s) will eventually be able to get it sorted out if you keep working them, but it never hurts to have another tune.

I have a stage 1 turbo from MTW. Even after multiple revisions from the tuner it's still not right. I haven't given up as I know they will get it sorted out eventually and I like the tune other than the WOT issue. I then tried Tony Wildman for a tune and it looks like he was able to get pretty close in the first shot. There are little things I asked to be revised (tranny shift points and how soon the power comes in). My tune is an extreme tune though. I'm trying to get that first before I start working on my tow tunes.
