MAF extension

I have a question for you guys running compounds on a 6.0 with the primary located on passenger side fender..is there a company who makes a maf extension harness, or are you guys just cutting and crimping..

I don't even worry about it. Just have your tuner "remove" the MAF sensor. Basically not used in tuning anymore

Ok..so I have another, hopefully not stupid question, what is the function of the MAF. Does it have ANYTHING TO do with transmission control.? I was told it would make the transmission shift funny if it was not in service.

From what i have come to realize, dealing mostly with stock trucks, it is for egr flow calculations. The computer figures out how much egr is actually flowing based off changes in maf flow. The iat1 sensor is also located in the maf.

As far as i know, yes that is correct.
