manual transfer case problems

went to put in 4 hi going up drive way and had been using 4wd off and on all day then stoped pulled knob back didnt engage in 4 hi or 4 lo pulled shifter all way back. pulled hard enough got in 4 lo parked in side and looked and it seems like the linkage lever on the t case was pointing down i can get it to lock in both some times linkage not broken on the out side. has anybody had this happen?

disconnect it from the case and see if the shifter is bound up..

i figured it out the slot on the linkage some how got disconnected. by way of the nut came loose.

yea i didnt think it was that at first it was were its suppose to be and didnt notice the nut was backed off.

Johndeerezach- could you post a picture of the linkage where it goes into the tcase?
