bought a brand new master and slave cylinder and bled (i think). still does not work properly. i have to start it in 1st and then go can't stop without turning the truck off and starting again and just have to shift without clutching it. when its on the truck and clutch fork it moves the fork about a quarter of an inch and as I'm driving down the road if i press in the pedal all the way and then press on the throttle it revs up all the way but does not accelerate. please help!!!!!

I don't remember how mine acted when I didn't bleed it right. I remember I left the reservoir installed and pulled the master out of the firewall and pointed it down (so the line pointed up toward the reservoir) and pulled the slave and laid under the truck pumping the shaft for about 20 minutes until my wife said there were no more bubbles. That or she was just tired of watching and said that so she could go in.

I've bought a pre-bled unit from Ford, but it only lasted a year. I bought a slave from Autozoo and it lasted 8 months. Currently I'm running a pre-bled unit from Rock Auto. It was much cheaper than Ford's and it even came with a spare CPP sensor. It hasn't been 12 months yet, but so far so good.

Even if this only lasts a year, the price was right and it's easy enough to change. If you shop at Rock Auto, google for a coupon code and you can save 5% off your order.
