I don't want to completely color match my truck but the chrome door handles and fender emblem bug me. Is there a way to scuff them with something to match the finish on the grille and tailgate panel?
Maybe a hyrdo dip that matches? Anything?

Not a fan...it always peels up on detailed parts like the fender emblem.

Close...I was thinking about just brushing the parts down with steel wool or something?
They're small so it would be easy to keep the marks uniform. WTF will scratch chrome that I can experiment with?

Maybe use a bench grinder except with a wire wheel on it. That way you get a constant speed/spin and all you have to do is control the piece you are working..... Let the wire wheel do the work until you get the desired result.

Scotch brite. Check the fabrication forum. I asked a similar question and a guy who had just done a grill responded with pics
