Ok, so since I have had several potential customers that went with other brand dual fuelers tell me this, I need to clear the air with truth. There is a myth perpetuated that another brand dual pump kit is more reliable because if you loose it's extra belt the truck will keep running and operating normally, just with less fuel. And other kits do not have this failsafe... 1: Our kit does not have an extra secondary belt, drive pully, tensioner or idler to fail or throw off. Therefore there is no worry about what happens if your dual fueler throws a belt. Because it can not happen. 2: if you did lose you "main" serpentine belt with our kit, the engine will still run. Think,.. the rear pump on any application is still going to be pumping belt or not. It is still being driven by the crankshaft, no belt required. 3: if you loose your main serpentine belt with ANY 6.4 or ANY superduty period, you will loose power steering, alternator, fan and water pump. This is regardless of whatever kit you purchase. Let's face it, who has really ever lost their main serpentine belt? Not very common. When it happens it mainly because it was not replaced in a timely fashion or a tensioner or idler failed and smoked the belt. Either way your still calling a tow truck, regardless if your dual pump belt works or not. So, to recap. Having a second belt just to drive your dual fueler does not make it any more "failsafe" than any other kit on the market. Please do not make your decisions based on that "failsafe" claim. That is all.
