I need a turbo for my 190/100 injectors. I would love to get mtw stage3 but it's a little to much money for me right now. So I was thinking about the stage2? Then I was reading lance's thread about the RCD 68mm and he had good resolute with it. Now for the non vgt I don't even no where to stared with what size to go with. I'm looking to make 550+ rwhp? I also want, to put a tow tune in and still tow a little.

I'm no expert but I'm getting better at regurgitating information. It really depends on what your plans are for the truck. IMO if you are going to do any heavy towing at all stick with a VGT. Also, you're gonna need supporting modifications for 500+ horse. What mods do you have besides 190's?

But with 190/100 it's gonna be a hot, smokey, laggy B***h down low. I've read about guys running the 190's, but I don't know that they're towing with them. 175/75 would be a better match IMO. Are you tunning a 68mm Pmax with your 190?

I was running a RCD 68 on stock injectors and turbo was great. Spool up was comparable to stock and pushed plenty of air. It cleaned Eric's extreme x tune up to no smoke. Wish I could have gotten bigger injectors in it before I totaled the truck. Heard a lot of good about MTW also.

Depending on the tuning and what turbo you have...190 will work great. i towed with my 190's with a 64mm non vgt and a MTW billet hybrid. both ran good with hardly any smoke and without high egt's

I have a fuel system,rr,studs and every were just done and I put the 190/100 in. I did just see that video on YouTube of a white truck with 190 and mtw stage 2 put down like 554hp. Who knows those high egts are and stuff?

mtw stage 2 imo ... I had the stage 3 with 190/100s and had to watch egts until I could maintain 70mph (while towing) then it was happy to stay cool

That white truck was my cousin chad. His egts only get hot when you hold wot for a long time other than that she is cool and super responsive and a blast to tow and drive but he is running 190/75s

I can tell you that I have ran a Stage 2 and 190/100s and it got HOT real quick. With my Xtreme X, I could hit 1800F in a WOT run from 40-80mph. Now I was only running it on a tune for full fuel and a stock turbo VGT duty cycle table, but 28-29psi of boost was no where near enough air for that kind of fuel. I tend to think that folks under-estimate how much fuel a set of true 190/100s at full bore flow. Now the Stage 2 didn't smoke with about 30% throttle and less but anything more than that and the black stuff starting coming out the tail pipe a little easier. At WOT, it was straight coal.

IMO, the only VGT turbo out there so far that can adequately handle 190/100s is a Stage 3. At WOT and full boost, my EGTs were under 1500F at 100 mph and there is no smoke coming out the exhaust stack. The only thing that is a little tricky is getting the tuning dialed in for towing so it spools up to about 10 psi below 2000 rpms. It isn't hard to get it to build 2-3 psi by 1500 rpms, but it took Eric a few tweaks before my tune would get above 7psi and 1800rpm (this of course is all driving, no break torquing or anything). Hopefully James (Superblazin) can chime in as he has towed with his Stage 3 and 205s.

He does have a billet wheel that he can put in a Stage 2 if a customer desires, but I recommend against it. The current billet wheel isn't worth the extra money you'd spend for it. He is working to develop his own billet wheel that will, if he releases it, be actual upgrade to the cast wheel.

Nate, did Adrian upgrade the exhaust side to the stage 2? I know in the begining it was stock, but didn't know if he changed that? However if you get a stage 2 you can upgrade to the stage 3 at anytime. Plus he'll credit you the full price of the stage 2 towards the price of the stage 3.

It's still stock Chris. Adrian did test some tweaks of his to the turbine side but couldn't really tell that there the benefits were worth the additional cost, so he just went back to stock.

This is true. You can get a Stage 2 and if/when you decide to go bigger/change your build (for whatever reason), you can contact Adrian and he will buy back your Stage 2 for what you paid for it (minus a $200 reconditioning fee) and put that towards whatever other turbo of his you would like. This way, guys who can only afford so much aren't stuck with whatever they buy and are forced to sell their used stuff so they can go bigger.

So far we haven't seen any issues. I don't have a lot of miles on mine yet but there are a couple out there right now and I don't think Adrian has had any complaints yet.

Pulling the 18' Car trailer with a regular cab log box,The truck towed awesome! 75 mph on cruise control, 875-920 egt's! 6 boost, 68% vgt duty cycle , 1800 rpm.

One hill I was was playing with the radio and not paying attention as I got to the bottom of the valley and started making boost climbing the other side which was a very steep 3 mile grade! It built to 23 boost and 1274 egt
The exaust sounded mean and nasty as it was moving the air!
shoot me an email addy, and I can email you a short video I took of a heavy footed take off from the lights for you to post.. it was dark out fwiw!

No issues with Spooling this bad boy up!! :D
