anyones N-Fabs showing rust? i bought mine last fall, ran them one winter, and the look like CRAP. all faded like, and underneath and each hoop have serious visible rust. i ran my wide wheels for a while, which coated them with salt/etc. but about december i put my winter wheels on-so i wouldnt think theyd see it as bad.. im in the salt A LOT in the winter, that's when i travel the most.. but still, they look so bad im about to take them off after less than 6 months

I didn't have any issues with rust under mine when I removed them. I also only put 5k miles on my truck in the last year and don't see any winter conditions like you do. I had probably had them at least almost 3 years. They did have a faded look and tons a little scratches.from people getting in and out. I will say I didn't like how the ends were open I feel like in the long run they could rust from the inside, especially on trucks that frequent off pavement.

im about to just pull my off and roll without steps again.. cause im not going any higher like i planned. i agree i thought the opened ends would be why, but i believe it was just the salt and rock abrasion took the little bit of crappy paint off and the junk things rusted. gonna see what N-Fab has to say about it.

They definitely are no where near as durable as I thought they'd be. Doesn't take much to scratch em. Whatever they are painted or coated in didn't impress me. Powdercoating would be a good option. I think your truck would look way better with no steps anyhow, I know I like mine alot better without.

I have a set kind of like that on my 97 havent ran it in any major salt and Ive had to touch them up already. I swear powdercoat makes them rust faster up here. It would be easier to wash them off if they were bare metal.

You could completely sand them down and use some type of industrial paint would prob get you 2 winters out of them.

I have yet out of hundreds of different trucks going through the shop, and every aftermarket set of steps you can think of. To see a set not completely rust to **** in a year or two around here.

Im hoping the amps will hold up good on my SD truck. They are for sure the best built aftermarket step I have ever dealt with.

i agree.. wish i woulda read up on em before i bought them.. might see if N-Fab will replace them or pay to get them fixed and then just sell em.. i thought about AMP's but for that much i could buy some fast parts or do something else more useful

If I can. I want amps. If they don't sell I guess I'll get them repowdercoated or painted. Hadn't really thought about it.

Good luck w nfab. I called them and they didn't seem to give a care less

My N-Fab light bar is rusting pretty good. Do they say they're powdered because my light bar is chipping/peeling apart like paint. Like a crappy paint job. I'm going to get my bar blasted and re-powdered. My experience with PC is that a good job goes a long way. I used to get all my race quad parts PC'ed, they held up to years of abuse slamming other quads and rocks on the track. It's just a crappy job done at the factory. Just blast it and get it re-done somewhere. I actually used to send some stuff to a guy right in WV, he was a GREAT powdercoater.
