The heavy parts... And it probably has a shipping cradle too. Doesn't seem too far off.

No shipping cradle. I strapped it all down on a pallet. Put the block upside down with the heads tight to the sides and the crank tied to the front of the block

Crank is ~80lbs. I have exact weight at home. I would guess for block, crank, and heads you are looking at ~450lbs. 800 is way high.

I don't have a scale at home large enough to weigh them on. I estimated 150lbs for block, 100lbs for each head, and 80lbs for crank.

So you are saying the rest of the motor weighs 550 lbs. The pistons, rods, pans and turbo?

HPOP, Front cover, injectors, turbo, nuts, bolts, intake, exhaust manifolds, up pipes, turbo mount, HPOP resevoir, water pump, alternator, pulleys, brackets, and anything else I forgot...

Yes - that is what I am saying. Which is based on the disassembled engine in my garage, the cryo'd crank (~80lbs) I have shipped, cryo'd rods (~28lbs) I have shipped, cryo'd camshaft, etc... Not based on a website.

PS - don't forget bout them damn glow plugs - those weigh down the entire front end!
