Well I was hopiing that this pump would have done better then this but its not. Installed it with 190/75 injectors and at first it was perfect held pressure. 100 miles later the pressure dropped to around 50 from the set 60 and if you barley got on it would drop to say like 25 if I kept my foot in it. So I called airdog and they sent out a new pump, just the motor not the whole base. Went to start it up and its acting the same way, it's at 50 and if I get on it at all it drops. So I turned up the regultor on the pump till it was at 65 psi from 50 and went to drive it and same story, I get on it and it drops like a rock to around 35 and you can feel the power drain from it. So what else can I do? I know it was able to keep up with it at first so what happened? What else should I check? Drop the tank and look at the pick up tube if it's clogged? Filters on the pump? Any help is greatly appreciated. I am supose to drag race tomorrow at the Riffraff East event but need to get my fuel pressure back into check. This is a Airdog II 165.

guess I should have sent my a1000 with you.... check your wiring, if you are using the airdog wiring it's subpar at best, seen plenty of them melted

Sent while spinning 18 wheels

I've ran into the same issues with mine as well. It idles at 55psi and if I go WOT I'm lucky to have 40psi. I've tried almost everything people have said to do but I'm just going to bit the bullet and get a whole new setup. I would just crank it up to 70 and hope it holds.

I just don't get it because it did originally hold pressure then it was like some one snapped there fingers and now it doesn't hold at all even with a new motor. Going to pull the regulator out of the pump and see if the o-rings are messed up at all.

So a lot of people are having issues with holding pressure then? I always thought it was with them dying.

The biggest issues with the airdog are the pumps dying and the fact that you still use factory lines from the fuel bowl. If you had a full rr it might help keep pressure up because you would have more volume of fuel in the heads. I'm planing on throwing a rr on soon and I might see if it helps but it will eventually get replaced with an aeromotive 1000 and I might use the airdog to feed the a1000

I would say check the regulator. I noticed with mine there is a lot of "dead area" in the adjustment. I bought viton orings from harbor freight to replace the ones in the regulator, but have been too lazy to do it. If you're using the stock wiring at least shorten the ground wire to something near the frame. Current draw reduced by over 1 amp. A quick snip, strip, and self tapper.

They're piles of turd. H&S just put one on their 6.7.... How long you think it's gonna maintain the higher pressure of the 6.7 LPFP? Lmao

I am sorry what first hand experience do you have? I think it will last just fine on those because of the fact it only has to move 10 psi, just like my 6.4's that has been flawless, but thanks for your help...... Not

Nick, good luck with it. Gordon is using his as a low pressure pump as well on his cummins. He has had several of them on his truck now...

Remember Mark's new pump came straight out of the box not working... FYI

Have you checked the relay yet? Mine was doing something similar and the it turned out the be the wiring was getting hot and melting the relay. I switched to strictly diesels wire harness kit and haven't had any issues since. I also have a sump and RR feeding 190/100s.
